Former Bay County Property Appraiser "Rick Barnett" "correct photo not available" lived in a house at 3535 Harrison Ave on land he purchased from The St Joe Company!  He  has also purchased and sold St Joe land at a profit!  He did this while he was the Bay County Property Appraiser who was responsible for setting the taxable valuation of all the St Joe land!  Two  female employees filed suit against Barnett for sexual harrassment.

The property transactions have been investigated by the FDLE "under the Jeb Bush admistration" who refused to find anything wrong with them. On March 8, 2007 Case # EI-73-6947 Mathis stated "that he had not personally benefited and is not aware of Barnett, Johnson or any other employee of the BCPA who benefited in any way from making adjustments to property values".
